BOUNDARIES
ART STORY
Inspired by topographical maps and the natural patterns found across the Australian landscape, Boundaries explores the lines that separate and connect us. Layers of earthy olive, stone, clay and soft blue-green move across the textile like contour lines, waterways and shifting terrain viewed from above. Organic forms weave across the surface, creating a visual language of connection, movement and place. Boundaries shape every landscape. They divide, define and give form, yet they are never truly fixed. The same is true of us. The boundaries we inherit are not always the boundaries we choose to keep. Some lines protect us, while others eventually become too small for the person we are becoming.
Boundaries explores what happens when we begin to redraw the map, reclaim ground, create space and become more fully ourselves.

RESTORED FRAME
Each frame is carefully restored in my Western Australian studio. Old nails and hardware are removed, the frame is cleaned and, where needed, lightly sanded and treated to care for the wood. New hanging hardware is fitted to ensure the finished piece is secure and ready to display. Original marks, imperfections and signs of age are retained where they form part of the frame’s character and history.
CAREFULLY FINISHED
Each artwork is finished and protected using acid-free, buffered framing paper. The paper provides a protective backing while allowing the framed piece to breathe, creating a considered finish designed to protect the artwork over time.
RECLAIMED STORY
This piece brings together two reclaimed materials with a new purpose. The artwork is created from rescued premium natural fibre textile, hand-dyed and transformed into textile art, then housed in a hand-selected reclaimed timber frame that has been given a second life. By combining existing materials rather than producing new ones, each piece diverts usable resources from landfill while creating something entirely original. Due to the organic nature of ice-dyeing and the sourcing of quality reclaimed frames, these statement pieces are fundamentally unique and cannot be replicated. Each piece represents a unique expression of renewal and possibility.
This artwork is available for local collection from Coolbellup, Western Australia. Interstate and international freight may be available by arrangement. Contact Us About Delivery Options.
