Hand-tied and hand-dyed, the resist lines evoke cracked earth and exposed geological strata, with dark, jagged formations cutting through softer washes of colour. The tied pattern was first drawn by hand onto the body to accentuate and complement a woman's natural curves, creating diagonal movement that draws the eye through the silhouette. Soft stretch fabric moves with you, while the shifting lines add shape and movement.

These details are part of working with existing materials and are approached with care and respect. Every Aloka & Sol piece carries its own history, reimagined through colour, texture and form.
